Welcome to Empath Unplugged, a frequent release podcast of RAW and philosophical reflections on wellbeing, love and the meaning of life, brought to you by your host, Esther Bertram, founder of the Inzel, a rejuvenation island and community for empaths, expect topics such as philosophy, psychology, art, culture, spirit, science, holistic health, and the occasional beach fire song to be part of your wonder ride to your Oceanside escape. It's time to breathe in the salty air and bask in the soothing warm sun to relax, reflect and vibe, along with a fellow empath to rejuvenate. As most episodes refer to my 1-2-3 theory, I will provide an overview of it here.
Speaker
For new listeners, feel free to skip ahead 4 minutes if you know it already. In my twenties I created 2 interlocking theories as I needed a framework for three reasons. One, to know how to optimize my holistic wellbeing, to to have mutually beneficial relationships and letting go of toxic relationships and tangle nations with narcissists. 3 to have lots of time and energy to give in to my positive impact businesses and contribute to the world in a meaningful way. I've now spent two decades putting the theories into practice.
Speaker
And they work, hence me now sharing them with the world. The 1-2-3 theory is a way to assess if you are optimised and able to give the most amount of love and energy to the world for the longest sustained time. The five finger theory explores each domain of holistic health and works in conjunction with the 1-2-3 theory and helps you calibrate each department. To have maximum output in your life, the 1-2-3 theory states you need to be in the order of the 1-2-3 One is yourself. Two are your loved ones. Three is the rest of the world or your contribution. When you nurture your holistic wellbeing first one, then you are better able to have mutually beneficial relationships too.
Speaker
And as a byproduct of this combination, you have so much excess energy to give three your contribution to the world. This order of the 1-2-3 ensures maximum output in all departments for the longest duration. Some people are three, two ones or three one twos, putting their cause, business or mission before anything else. This isn't sustainable long term if you value health and relationships. Many empaths like I was in the past have the default setting of being a 2-1-3 giving to others before themselves, but that blocks their flow into their three and as a consequence they have little time and energy for their contribution.
Speaker
It's particularly dangerous to be a 2-1-3 when you are together with or around a narcissist as they are double one two threes or double one three twos where they put themselves first twice in an energy vamping way. When an empath has it too at the start giving to others first, this fits like a jigsaw into the narcissist double one. This bond is notoriously risky for empaths and often hard to break. So I'm on a mission to help empaths become strong one two threes. Or would I like to call super empaths so they can thrive in life, love and work and not get caught wasting years of their precious life in tangled nations this podcast.
Speaker
The empath community I have built and my book the 1-2-3 theory are all part of achieving this mission. To dive deeper into both theories, head over to the 1-2-3 theory.com where you can read or listen to my book. Now that you have the basic gist of the 1-2-3 theory, let's begin this podcast. Hello listeners, welcome to Empath Unplugged episode 23 Today's episode is a meditation.
Speaker
It's the Super Empath 1-2-3 meditation. And the reason I'm doing a whole podcast on a meditation is because I've been talking a lot recently in the content I create on Tik tok and also in my book the one two three theory, all about the power of the subconscious and. We really underestimate many of us, how powerful that machine is that lays within us, and we can do all we wish for in the conscious reality world. We can meditate, we can eat good food. We can try to be gentle with ourselves, with loving kindness. We can do all these external things to try to improve our wellbeing.
Speaker
But if there are some fundamental belief systems and frameworks of reality and deep unconscious drives. We can. Everything we do in our conscious reality almost is like just doing a Band-Aid and it might give you temporary wellbeing but. Often we are the ones in our own way because the subconscious is our engine. It's what's driving so much of what we experience externally. So if you have any area of your life that you struggle with, often the roots of it can be sourced and found. That's why therapy is so wonderful to do when you're on a super empath quest or.
Speaker
Any kind of mindfulness also setting clear intentions and working with the power of planting seeds of consciousness and intention into your subconscious mind. And so that's why we're going to do a whole podcast episode just on a meditation that you can do that can help you. Solidify the learning that you've been doing about becoming a strong 1-2-3 and actively. Give your brain some brain food just before you go to bed so it can grow and Stew over the hours, maybe 8 hours, hopefully getting at least 8 hours sleep and help you manifest from the inside out the ideal thriving reality of being A123 super empath.
Speaker
So that's what we're going to dive into today. And basically the reason why is because I want to help you speed U this quest. So if you've been listening to my previous episodes, everything I'm doing is really about supporting you to become. The best version of yourself as a thriving empath as you can. That's why I'm writing my book the 1-2-3 theory and doing my tick tocks and having the empath community and making this podcast so when when I see a very common thing like.
Speaker
We are in our own way, I I wanna do what I can to support you to, you know, take down some of those walls and reprogram yourself. And I know I've had to do a lot of this myself. With this, looking at what beliefs I have that are limiting what where am I in my own way? And yeah, because if you just experiencing externally situations as an empath where you are exhausted or you're drained, or you're getting used as a door mat or a whipping post or all the people in your sphere just expect you to be the giver. It is just so common that we play out this role and we identify our ego with this role because that's how we've known ourselves.
Speaker
That's also how we have continued the dance we learned as a young child to be that person. And that doing that, ongoingly almost gives the instruction to the subconscious that everything's alright. Why would we change? That's how we know ourselves. That's just how we've always done it. Why would you change a system that seems to function? So yeah, you could argue why would you change? But the reason I suggest looking at it is mainly because do you want to survive or do you want to thrive? If you just want to survive, there's no point doing any kind of self work. You may as well just get up, go to work, come home, put on Netflix, go to bed, try to get some good sleep, do it all again the next day.
Speaker
That's surviving in the western world if you want to thrive. Which hopefully you do. If you're listening to this podcast, you're probably on that on that quest. And yeah, that's when we need to put in effort and set up parameters for ourselves and yeah, do this internal garden work to it. Basically give us a new program where we are. Tapping into our wellspring. So when we do, we have this sustainable energy and that's what the 1-2-3 is all about.
Speaker
It's about tuning into that wellspring within yourself. So you can have ongoing energy for a very long time, and by doing so you have a greater sum total of love and energy for the world than if you are feeding people from a continuously depleting cup. And so it's about filling the cup, overflowing the cup so, and then tapping in underneath that cup to a wellspring that is just an ongoing fountain, and it's a source that you can depend on and other people can depend on so.
Speaker
It doesn't have to be as hard as it might seem to to find this wellspring and activate it and do it. It just takes discipline and guidance for what you can improve and hence, again, that's why I'm I'm making this. Podcasts for you and I can give you a few parameters that can help. So one thing that I did at tick tock on the other day, and I've been writing a lot about that in the 1-2-3 theory book which has finished its first draft, I'm pleased to say.
Speaker
So I'll be finalising that over Christmas New Years and so it's going to make it on time for its release of the first of the second 23 Hopefully I make the deadline I'm doing channelling it through as fast as possible. So one of the things that keep coming up is this magical i call it the magical 5 minutes of the day. So when you think about the whole day and all the minutes of the day. There, if you put it on a pie graph, it would be so tiny these 5 minutes compared to the rest. But they're so so so so powerful because where they live is just at the very end of the day and just before you go into sleep.
Speaker
And ordinarily, people often use that time. They might be just watching something on a television and fall off into sleep. So you kind of, you know, blend over the five minutes. Or if you're a book reader, you might be reading. Your eyes are getting tired and tired and tired, and then you just put off the book and the light and you fall asleep. Other people will lie there without books or shows and will ruminate about the things that have happened in the day. And often the bad things and. You know, especially as an empath, we take on a lot.
Speaker
We might be detangling the feelings and thoughts that we've picked up, and we spend a lot of time doing that. But if from my perspective, if you kind of command and dominate these five minutes and take them back and have a very conscious experience there, it's a very powerful time of the day to do so. And look, it's only 5 minutes if you can do this every day. You will be amazed how much it can transform your life and then the reason why these 5 minutes are so important are because. Just before you go to sleep. Is when you can.
Speaker
Really go into this activation of combining mind and heart. In full power and using the mind for intention and visualization and creative. Yeah, almost like painting an artwork with your mind of the ideal reality and then activating your heart space of feeling what it feels like already as if it's real. What ends up happening is you are planting a seed. Into your subconscious right then, because the next 8 hours you're going to Mull over the things that you thought about during the day.
Speaker
So I. Suggest if you can make this a discipline. It only takes 5 minutes a day, so I'll give you one more metaphor that can really help with this visualization. The way I see the mind and the workings of the subconscious mind. And the conscious mind is almost like 2 parts. One at the front is the wonderful garden of the conscious and at the back is the soil and the soil is neutral. Because whatever you plant in there, whatever thoughts and feelings and anything you enter into there from your life experience, it will grow.
Speaker
So they you hear all over the place that like attracts like and if you if you're really fearful of something and you're planting seeds of fear in there, you'll possibly even create that reality because your subconscious doesn't judge, it just takes whatever seeds you give it and. It grows that into your reality, and the world is a mirror. It mirrors back the kinds of things we have inside our own mind.
Speaker
That leads me to often think of this whole reality almost like a game or a projection or a hologram or some kind of virtual reality. But anyway, we're not going to go down that rabbit hole right yet. But I've found in my own life that. That's why, um, this inner work we do with our mind of consciously planting positive seeds into our mind. Through doing visualization work, meditation, positive affirmations nlp, there's all kinds of mechanisms you can use to plant seeds of positive to reprogram things that have been growing, and I see them as growing weeds. Like you might have been through some kind of trauma or had an experience and just decided, ohh, that's the reality.
Speaker
So I don't know, maybe something bad happened on a bus and then every time you see a bus you're triggered. It's like you've planted a seed about buses in the back of your brain and it's still growing that weed. And I'm not saying we shouldn't learn from dangerous experiences, obviously we absolutely should. But there are some very unhelpful thoughts and belief systems and constructs that we take to be real. That have their roots in our subconscious and they stop us from having the beautiful conscious experience that we want to have. So we need to combat that. It's just like gardening, you need to pull out the weeds and you need to plant really positive seeds into there so you can grow the best life garden you possibly can.
Speaker
So that's what we're going to do today. I'm going to jump into a 1-2-3 theory meditation, so. What we're going to be doing is utilising the mind and intention, as well as activating the heart of what it feels like to already experience it before it's even arrived. Because you can almost trick your subconscious into believing it all. Just believe it cause it's neutral, remember. So if you give it things and you really believe it to be true, even if it's not yet true, it will grow that as a seed, and you will.
Speaker
See that mirrored back in your conscious reality and what happens then is when it mirrors back to you. That will reinforce the belief because you will see it externalised from where it came from within and you'll go ohh my goodness me, it actually works. And that will create a feedback loop that just spins around because and it goes in a positive direction. It's the same way when people talk about spiralling negatively. It's when a thought or feeling is reconfirmed externally and you then believe ohh your original thought, which was a negative one. Is true because you've just witnessed it externally happening again and it creates a negative spiral going downwards.
Speaker
So what we're trying to do with exercises like this is create a positive feedback loop starting with. Consciously planting those seeds, allowing them to grow while you sleep because your subconscious is the most active during Dreamtime and sleep time. Allowing them to grow, allowing them to have their mirrored experience in your conscious reality. And at that point you will witness it and experience it. Then it comes back to you and you believe it even more. So it underlines and exaggerates the experience and creates a feedback loop and when you have this feedback. Loop more and more positivity starts happening. You will have more synchronicities, you will have more amazing manifestations of the things you want to manifest, your real desires, and we're going to focus it on.
Speaker
The 1-2-3 because this model of reality from my theory is really the ultimate thriving configuration you can have as an empath. And 1-1 When you do that from the inside and believe it already and start training yourself to be there already, it can help expedite the journey. And yeah, anyway, enough of the theory behind it. We're going to just jump right in here. And I highly recommend doing this just before you go to sleep. I know I always talk about the five minutes, this will be a longer version of that five minutes, but you can always summarise it yourself and do it in your head as a 5 minute version.
Speaker
And not need this, but if you want to do the longer version can also help you have a deeper sleep. Do that. Do not do this right now if you're driving or you're responsible for anything. This is to be done only when you are in a safe and secure position, and ideally in bed just before you go to sleep. Ok, we will start with a. Deep yoga nidra, where we're going to relax every part of your body before we jump into the exercise. So welcome to the. Super Empath 1-2-3 theory meditation. I want you to just lay back and relax.
Speaker
You can be in any position you like, on your side, on your back. Curled up in a little ball. Just wherever it's comfortable in your bed. And just feel the weight of your body. Feel the feeling of the material around you. Your mattress. The covers, if you have them touching your skin. Feel the support underneath you. Cradling your whole body. You can fully let go now of anything you didn't get finished today. Allow yourself this special time to be held. It's a precious time just for you.
Speaker
Start by taking a few deep breaths in through your nose. And out through your mouth. And allow your body to sigh with the release and fully let go. Of the day you've just had. As thoughts go in your mind, allow them just to float through like clouds. Don't hold on to anything. You'd have no need to hold on to anything right now. The day has finished and tomorrow is yet to come. You're safe and secure. In this beautiful moment of relaxation. Just allow your breath to naturally. Flow in and out. As you watch it. Release the stress from your body on the exhale.
Speaker
Now we're going to go through different parts of the body. To give them a focus to fully relax as well. Feeling your feet? Breathe in. And when you breathe out, allow both of your feet to fully relax. Feel the weight of them. Heavy in your bed? relax. Now your ankles. Allow them to relax. They've been holding up your body today. It's time for them to fully relax. Your knees and your lower legs. Allow them to fully relax. The top part of your legs. The strongest muscles of your legs.
Speaker
Don't have to do anything more today. Allow them to relax. Your precious hips. The drivers of your movement. Allow them the space and time. Breathe out and relax. Your whole pelvis area, front and back, lower back. Up to your belly button and made back. Allow it all to breathe out and relax. Your chest. Left and right. Upper back and shoulders. Allow your just to relax. Both hands, all the fingers. Your wrist. Let them relax. Your forearms, elbows, your biceps and triceps and shoulders. From the base of your neck, the whole part of your lower body.
Speaker
Allow it to relax and sink into the bed. You're fully at peace. You're supported and relaxed. Let the tension flow away. Now up your neck. You're full face. Your ears. Your forehead. At the top of your head. The back of your head. And you're full head. Allow it to just rest into the pillow. Fully relaxed. Your whole body. Your whole body is at peace, supported, relaxed. No need to think or feel about anything right now, apart from sinking in.
Speaker
And letting go. Now that we're in a fully relaxed position. We're going to do some visualizations with our mind. And heart activation. Starting with the number one yourself. I want you to visualise and imagine. Your life in perfect holistic health. What are the things you would experience in the realm of the mind? What are the things you would experience in the realm of the heart if you were purely holistically healthy? How would you want your body to feel when you're purely holistically healthy? What would your soul feel and experience when it's fully holistically healthy? And what purpose would you be living when you're activating your skills and passions? Spend a few moments now to think about the domains of mind, heart, body, soul, and purpose.
Speaker
And think of some mental constructs. And parameters of what you want to experience in those realms. Just think of them as thoughts. Paint them on the canvas with your mind of what that reality would look like when you are a thriving super empath. Now I want you to water those seeds, those thought seeds with the emotion. Feel what it feels like to have that life you've just imagined. Feel what it feels like when your mind is in that perfect state of being. Feel what it feels like when your heart is satisfied and you have all of those relationships and states of being that you wish for.
Speaker
Feel what it feels like when your body is in perfect health. Feel it tingle through your body right now, radiating in perfect vibrancy healthy. Every single cell. His glowing with Radiant health. Feel it. Feel what it feels like when your soul is aligned with the universe. When you can enter flow state with ease. Feel what it feels like to be able to dance with the cosmos. Feel what it feels like when you have your perfect job or career. You're utilising your skills and passions. Feel the joy and satisfaction of what that feels like.
Speaker
Now take a few moments to water your thoughts, seeds with all of these positive emotions of what it would feel like to have that feel it as if it's a reality already right now. We're now going to move into the number two of the 1-2-3 theory. Now that you are radiating superimposed. Who is optimised with your holistic health? I want you to use your power of your imagination. To see that mutually beneficial relationships begin to be attracted to you. It's like a big Infinity sign. Energy flows from you to them, in your friendships, your partnerships with your children, with work colleagues, the flowing Infinity. Energy like an 8 on its side, mutually beneficial.
Speaker
People who are strong like you like a beautiful, thriving super empath thriving on all cylinders just like you. Begin to be attracted to you more and more as they mirror the work you've done inside yourself. See them as a concept. Plant this thought into your subconscious. Know that this is happening right now. Now feel what it feels like to have these beautiful, mutually beneficial relationships. Feel how content and in love with life and people you are. Feel how inspiring it is to be surrounded by such amazing people. Feel that deep connection and support that you are part of a community. Feel what it feels like to be truly sane and truly loved.
Speaker
Feel what it feels like to no longer be just the giver. Mutually beneficial relationships around you all around. Feel what it feels like to no longer need boundaries because the type of people that are drawn to you are beautifully nurturing for your soul. Sit with that feeling for a while. As you water in the seed. Now we will look at the number three of the 1-2-3 theory.
Speaker
Because you're holistically healthy as a super empath, you're number. One, your mind, heart body, and soul are all thriving. You have now attracted mutually beneficial relationships into your life. As a byproduct, there is so much extra energy overflowing from your wellspring into your relationships, and then the excess needs to go somewhere else. This is where it arrives to the number three your contribution to the world. As a mental construct, think about what is your ideal way to utilise your skills and passions. What reality would you like where you're fully living on purpose? Imagine yourself doing that with your day. It could be a hobby, a mission, a career, or just your family life.
Speaker
Whatever you wish to do as your positive contribution to the world. Imagine all the parameters of what that would look like. Now water that seed with the feeling of what it feels like. What does it feel like to be utilising your skills and passions? What does it feel like to get validation externally for the great contributions you do? What does it feel like to be making money from your favorite thing to spend your time on? Feel what it feels like to be fully living on purpose, positively contributing to the world. You have now successfully planted and watered the seeds into your subconscious that can grow through the night.
Speaker
You can finish the meditation. With a positive affirmation to yourself. Repeat after me. I am a thriving 1-2-3 I am holistically healthy and firing on all cylinders. I have mutually beneficial relationships. And I positively contribute to the world. I feel amazing. I feel amazing. I feel amazing. Now you can allow yourself to slip into a deep, restorative sleep. As the seeds are planted and begin to grow.
Speaker
When you awake tomorrow, you will begin to see signs. Of these seeds coming to fruition. As you experience them, let them remind you how important this inner gardening work is. And that it works. Let it form a new belief system about the power of your mind. It will create a feedback loop. And you will experience more synchronicity. And more amazing experiences that show you you are a strong, thriving 1-2-3 super ampath. I wish you a beautiful sleep. Beautiful empire. I hope you have enjoyed. The 1-2-3 Supreme path meditation. If you're still awake. If you want to just have that as a download and not have all the introduction and this outro that you can just listen to on your phone or whatever.

Travelling empath rock star. She travels dimensions of consciousness to understand the workings of a cube and the cube represents the five finger theory, mind, heart, body, sole, purpose and facing shadows and in one scene.
Speaker
She comes across the chapters called the Sofa of Bliss. And this meditation actually reminded me of that scene of where you're taken over by such amazing ecstasy of bliss and she experiences on this red sofa that's found her in clause find in the fields. And it's very it's kind of very overwhelming what ends up happening with her pure mindfulness of going into the sensation. Touch, and it's quite a magical, transformative experience on the sofa of bliss, so I'm gonna leave you with that story time today.
Speaker
Look, somebody's put a sofa in the meadows, she exclaimed, running over to a red couch that sat amongst the wild flowers. I again wondered if that somebody could really be me. It was indeed a strange environment in which to leave a sofa. Then, as though November could hear my thoughts, she said. What a strange place for a chair. I wonder who abandoned you, lonely sofa? She stroked its surface like a fat cat. Wow, that is so soft, November whispered. Klaus, let's sit down for a while. I need a break. November flopped down onto the couch. Noticing that Joy's 6 red squares were glowing with the same red hue as the sofa.
Speaker
Her ring also glowed Ruby red. Tik tok suddenly seemed much slower than normal. Goodness, this is the softest material ever claus. Touch it, she said, her words rolling out in slow motion. November couldn't help but spread out. She wanted every bit of her body to have a turn at enjoying the heavenly feel of the sofa's surface. Warm tingles surged up and around her skin as she shivered with tantalised delight. Klaus jumped off his cloud and had a similar reaction when he lay down, rubbing against the velvet like a cat on a plush carpet.
Speaker
Can you smell the fresh berries? I want to marry this sofa. This heavenly scrumptious. Poor deserted couch. I never wish to leave it. November fell further into its loving, deep, velvety arms. I too shut my eyes and felt the delightful sensation as I rubbed my entire being along charlie. This sublime snuggling lasted for an amount of Tik tok that no one will ever know perhaps even days. When I opened my eyes, I had floated to the closest screen.
Speaker
Although I was not even sure my eyes were open since the city looked surreal, that was November Fox and the little part about the sofa of bliss.
