Esther Bertram
Hello listeners, welcome to podcast number five an exceptionally exciting podcast topic for me today and it's how to nourish your holistic wellbeing. The reason it's so exciting for me is. Everything I've been doing in the empath world like writing my new book, the 1-2-3 theory, setting up the empath community at the inzel making this podcast. Is all about playing my part to help nurture and rejuvenate empaths? Because I have a vision that. Because empaths are by default so hot lead. I just I can imagine a world where. When the empaths learn how to optimize themselves and find that perfect balance between being able to feel into subtle energies and the universe, but prioritizing their holistic well being, they can be exceptionally efficient and beautiful leaders of the world, even in any kind of field of work that they do and any kind of dynamical relationship that they're in.
02:01
Esther Bertram
It's almost like I can see empaths as these beacons of light, and when lights shine really brightly, it can spread like wildfire like consciousness, just expanding and igniting, and that heart lead. Beautiful connectivity with all that is, can just help unify and make human beings interact in a much more harmonious way. And I really think that. Empaths have a unique skill set and ability and predisposition to being able to play that part for society, but unfortunately a lot of us have a lot of self work to go through first. With our sensitivity setbacks before they become superpowers and. Yeah, my vision is to help and connect and path so there's almost like a community support of a blossoming of coming into our full empowered strength of the best version of ourselves we can be, and it's an ongoing process, and it does take a lot of years and like insights and self work and sometimes therapy and.
03:22
Esther Bertram
All kinds of things to get there. But that's often the path of when you have any kind of setback to overcome that and thrive. With it is a process, so I'm really excited. If we were to summarise everything I've been doing into one topic, it's probably today's podcast, because Holistic wellbeing is the core objective of what I would like to help support others to do, including myself.
03:56
Esther Bertram
Yes, it's an ongoing process, so today's podcast is for empaths who basically just want to feel amazing and feel balanced and in harmony with the universe. Energized and basically just feel like. What it felt like to be a 5 year old when you wake up in the morning and you're just ready to take on the world. You're excited and you're energized and you're just you're gung ho to just go forth and conquer everything. Now in life a lot happens between being a 5 year old and when you're an adult, so this particular topic today is about how.
04:41
Esther Bertram
What are some things we can do to get back to that state of being? and. A core obstacle in that is, yeah, we don't, as empaths generally don't spend enough time on the self and the reason for that is because of all of these outside inputs and stimulus that we feel it's a lot of thoughts and feelings and actions that happen externally in situations we feel them and. It's very hard to kind of shut them off without feeling kind of guilty and responsible because it just feels like the right thing to do if we feel it. If you, if you didn't act on it feels wrong in a way, but there's healthier balances to be found for myself.
05:35
Esther Bertram
That's what I've had to do over the years is. Find that perfect balance between still being in touch without fully closing off and compartmentalising and almost pendulum swinging the other way and. But still giving yourself enough time and energy and nurturing so you're actually a stronger energy source for others and for the world. But it is. It's a hard thing to find because. Life like just general life demands just get in the way and often it comes from a close family and friends. Our inner circle because we love them so dearly we end up in roles where people depend on us and they lean on us and it's almost like an identity.
06:28
Esther Bertram
We form and people know us as that. So to change that is also not the easiest thing, although you can do it with subtle. Evolutions in a way. Because I mean if we don't do that, what ends up happening? I mean, it's OK in the short term, but we end up very stretched and we can feel overwhelmed and tired and drained. And yeah, let's face it.
06:56
Esther Bertram
A lot of us don't aren't able to jump out of bed like a 5 year old and. Yeah, but if I could get my vision to come through true I would love to see all the empaths taking over the world and getting to leadership positions and leading with their hearts and putting an end to all of this ridiculous ego driven nonsense that seems to go on when you put the news on.
07:25
Esther Bertram
Anyway, I've got a few questions here just to reflect on before we dive into some. Potential perspectives and solutions and ideas so i'm. I just would like you to check in with yourself about all the love and energy that you give to others. And I just want you to ask yourself, why aren't you? Giving that to yourself too. Maybe you are and you're listening to this and you already are, which is fantastic. You're probably a 1-2-3 empath. If you've listened to the earlier podcast, you know what I mean about 1-2-3 But a lot of us are still in that 2-1-3 Putting others before our own needs and.
08:12
Esther Bertram
It's a, it's an interesting thing to ask on a deep level why? Why do we do it? And just having a bit of a self reflection on. The root cause of why we do it is it guilt. Is it just we're used to doing that? Is it just because when we don't think about it just feels like the right thing to do? But we need to ask, it's good. It's healthy to ask. Why are others more important than ourselves? because. If we don't give our own nourishment to ourselves, who will give it to us apart from maybe another empath? But we don't really want to burden them so.
08:55
Esther Bertram
I think every time we think we are self nurturing, as an empath, we're usually probably only still giving a fraction to ourselves because we're so used to putting it out there and giving it away that even when we I don't know go and do yoga in the morning and have a few hours just to ourselves and we go. Oh wow, we've been so selfish. It's not really selfish, it's just self loving. We've given ourselves so much often that's still only you know if you put it on a pie.
09:26
Esther Bertram
Graph a tiny bit compared to what you're still putting out in the world, so this podcast if you relate to that, I'm asking you to just stop it. Stop externally giving away everything you have until you are a. 5 year old jumping out of bed with so much energy to give and you're a 1-2-3 then you have so much to give away. You don't even notice it just flows out of you like a spring of energy because you deserve that.
09:59
Esther Bertram
You deserve to have that full experience of life of skipping like a newborn fawn through the meadows and. Just being energized and happy and spreading that love and light and energy out to the world. But yeah to be like that on a daily basis with life demands it's a hard thing. So this podcast is going to hopefully give you some help and tips and what you can do to get back to that state.
10:28
Esther Bertram
So I'll just give you a little bit of a insight into my story on. How this came about in my life. My need for needing to prioritise holistic wellbeing. So if you've listened to any of the earlier podcasts, I've gone into this a little bit, but I'll just for new listeners. Welcome by the way, I'll just go a little bit into. Some of my history. So in my twenties I became acutely aware that I needed. To prioritize my holistic wellbeing. At the time I was quite just a naive kind hearted person. I left Australia to become a musician. I was a musician. Sorry I just went to become an international musician, traveling and touring Europe and I just kind of bumbled through life.
11:23
Esther Bertram
Being a good person, hoping for the best and. It where did that lead me? It led me into a tangle nation of various tangle nations. Relationships with. Over the years I was a serial monogamist, but there's two that come to mind. One particular one where it was like the breaking point where I needed a solution, but I was pulled into a very. Big tangle with a very clever and manipulative narcissist. Who could I think could see me from a mile away as an easy energy source to feed his? Double one two three and that's the configuration from my 1-2-3 theory. For a narcissist, they are 1-1-2-3 where it's one is themselves again and then two and three or three and two depending what they're doing.
12:19
Esther Bertram
And back then I was at 2-1-3 where others needs were more important than my own and I was very wide eyed, wide heart, low self esteem. And a massive romantic wanting to be loved and give love. And yeah it was obvious I was going to end in a situation like that because I didn't have enough self awareness or any safety mechanisms in place to. Let me be aware that there was such things as narcissists. I wouldn't even have known that term back then.
12:51
Esther Bertram
It's only in retrospect. I can look at it and analyse it and. Give it terms that make sense to the experience. Anyway, at that point. When I just didn't really have a plan and hoped for the best it ended up in yeah, massive spaghetti tangle rations, but when I finally got free and probably down to the fact that I'm quite an ambitious person, I have that from my father. He's a very passionate and just let's get things done. A person and I like doing that too. Just getting on with life and shooting for the stars and arriving at the moon more often than not.
13:36
Esther Bertram
Want to achieve my highest potential as a human, but I became very aware that I have certain sensitivities and. I I'm easy prey. I was easy prey for people that were potentially more. You know, dangerous for me. To take advantage of, yeah, the kind of person I was, and, but I'm bit I'm careful these days. And so I wanted to make a plan to keep me out of trouble and not although I trust my intuition and my feelings, intuition and feelings to me are very different and i was often feeling based and impulse based and.
14:23
Esther Bertram
I didn't have enough space to tune into my deeper intuition, and I wanted a framework more from my head that is. Clearly some parameters that will override the feeling impulse as a kind of way to just double check. Situations and when I'm free from being in a tangle nations, it's easy to see with clarity what's needed anyway. That gave birth to my 2 theories in my twenties the one. Two three theory which is about. One is yourself, two is your loved ones, three is the rest of the world. Sorry listeners who have heard this a million times. But in case you're a new listener, I need to quickly go over it.
15:06
Esther Bertram
And basically it's the highest amount of energy and love output you want to give to the world over a sustainable period. So not just short term, you need to keep the order of the 1-2-3 where you prioritize your own well being. Two is having mutually beneficial relationships, not ones that just suck all your energy and three is your contribution to the world. And if you've taken care of one and two really well, you have a much bigger output for number 3 and you can contribute more meaningfully when you just have a bigger energy source, so.
15:43
Esther Bertram
That theory got born, but it hasn't interlocking theory and that's what we're going into today that. Dives deeper into each of those numbers so it's called the five finger theory. And today we're going to look at how the five finger theory. Works with the number one. There are other ways it works with two and three which will go in other podcasts and in my book the 1-2-3 theory it goes into it if you wanna check it out, just go to the one two three theory dot com. And when we look at it just on the number one, that is what I set up as a framework to double check.
16:22
Esther Bertram
If my whole listic well being is a human separate to any relationship separate to anything I contribute to the world is in a. Optimized, state so the reason why is the stronger you're 1, the bigger your energy source. The more that you have healthier relationships and actually people are more attracted to well, similar people. So if you are a strong one, I find that the world is like a mirror. You end up in mutually beneficial relationships because it's almost like attracts like and there's a recognition and.
17:03
Esther Bertram
You end up then with strong, healthy, mutually beneficial relationships, and when they are connected and thriving in your maybe your romantic life, your family, your friends. That energy, because it's so nurturing and giving both ways, giving and receiving like an Infinity sign. There's this massive, greater than the sum of the parts output from that flows into number three, which is contributing to the world. So I see it as a an absolutely crucial thing to prioritize. The holistic wellbeing of the number one so you can. You can give the most amount of love and energy to your loved ones and consequently to the world and.
17:53
Esther Bertram
So how it works? So I first it's actually evolved over the years, but I'm gonna go into how it first began. So if you put your hand in front of yourself, your left hand and on your thumb is mind. Point of Finger heart middle finger body. Ring finger soul little finger purpose. So we've got mind, heart body soul purpose. Now we're going to play a little game, and the number that you think of. Without letting your head get in the way is probably quite accurate.
18:32
Esther Bertram
So I just want you to quickly have a quick think about yourself and in all those departments we're going to give you a quick score out of 100 a percentage. How good is your holistic wellbeing right now in this moment? So whatever number you feel into. That's probably your number. So feel into it and choose that number so. If you need to go more analytical about it, so let that was your intuitive number. If that just came to you, have it. Let's break it down into the category. So in your mind so we can do a score out of 20 for each of these.
19:14
Esther Bertram
So you might want to grab a pen and paper. Or if you're driving, just memorize and do some mental math. Ok, in your mind I'm going to give it a score out of 20 how? How good is your mind space at the moment? How sharp do you feel focused? Clear calm how mindful is your mind? O what is your mental space? Out of 20 at the moment? Or just generally? Let's just say this month. So that's an average of all the different days so recently. Ok, give that a score. Let's look at your heart. How are you feeling in your heartspace? How much daily gratitude do you have? How kind do you feel towards others? How content? How passionate do you get for things and excited? And joyous and in love with life or people or animals or the world.
20:13
Esther Bertram
How's your heart feeling out of 20? All right, write that down or memorize it. Now let's go into body. So how healthy is your vehicle, your physical? Entity and how? How well are you treating it? What food are you eating? How much exercise you getting? Are you sleeping well? Are you drinking enough water and we can even extend it into your environment how? What's your house like? How clean are you keeping your temple at home? And how basically energized are you feeling? How much towards a 5 year old energy levels are you as a consequence of all those body things that you're doing? Ok, give that one a score.
21:01
Esther Bertram
Ok, now we're going to the next finger, which is soul. So soul has lots of different layers, so how in tune do you feel and connected to your higher self? So it's also a spiritual finger. How also, how is your dream life how? How your dreams? At the moment they're often a good insight into how your subconscious is. At the moment and how much are you vibing with all that is and this intunes with. Enduring flow state and the universe and collective energy. So how satisfied is your soul? Are you being creative? Are you? Really enjoying art, culture, music. How happy is your soul? Ok, give that a score out of 20.
21:59
Esther Bertram
And then we're on the last finger, which is purpose so. Ask yourself, are you utilizing your unique skills and passions? Are you positively impacting people? Are you thriving in your current workplace? Do you feel on path to achieve your highest potential? As far as work and life purpose goes and give that a score out of 20? Now there's another domain which has shadows, but well, we won't go into that right yet. So just give all of those. That's now a score out of 100 so have a check.
22:36
Esther Bertram
How close that is to your intuitive number, because this was your mental analytical number. And if they're quite similar, that's really good, because it means that your intuition is really. It's actually a double test. I didn't think of it until just now, but it's almost. It's how well calibrated your intuition is with your mind so. When you're able to answer so fast a number and then break it down with your head and use logic and reason and come to the same answer, that's fantastic.
23:08
Esther Bertram
If they're very different, I would say it's. Good to spend some time getting in a place where you can work on listening to your intuition and clarifying your mental space, because there's a bit of a. Difference between the numbers OK? So once that's step one where we are going to do the ACE method again. So awareness. So this was step one of getting awareness of your current. Number one state of holistic wellbeing. And if you want to add an extra layer to that, so we've got the five fingers as the theory developed over the years, I added a sixth layer and it became a cube, but we won't go into the cube today, but.
23:56
Esther Bertram
In the sixth layer, it's about your shadows and how much work you've done towards. Kind of processing and healing your shadow self, so these are often the unconscious drives and habits and often trauma from the past and what I call face monsters when you act out in ways that are twisted from the root cause. So if you feel you've got a lot of shadow work to do that, it's almost like the tonality of the number, so you could have a shite.
24:36
Esther Bertram
Shining and bright 85 score but you've still got a lot of shadow work. You're very aware of doing so. It might be a bit of a darker shade of 85 whereas if you've done a lot of self work or you, you'd actually don't carry that many shadows, and you're already really quite thriving. It could be a very shiny blingy 85 Anyway, you can just think about that as an extra layer if you want to, but the main theory is the five finger theory.
25:06
Esther Bertram
I often then imagine the shadows around the wrist area as a. Almost as a filter that goes up because our subconscious affects our conscious life so much and there's yeah, it's an endless can of worms. You can dive into. And we we're not going to go into that in this podcast. Ok, we're gonna jump into C for calibration, so. This is where you look at your score and whatever area got lower marks. It's about giving more time for yourself in that department, so the ideal is to just get all of these.
25:45
Esther Bertram
Obviously up to a score of 20 each as a default, although that's pretty much impossible. You become like this glowing being of absolute radiance, and I don't think it's very hard to do that in this in the world as it is. But yeah, that's the absolute aim. So fantastic. If you feel that and that's being pretty much a 5 year old so. I'm just going to go through some things you can start doing. If you've got a low score in any of those departments, or some of them, or maybe you got an average score in all of them, then it might be good to.
26:22
Esther Bertram
Spend a bit of time in all of these, so in your mind, if you got a lower score in your mind or want to just improve a average school or middle high school kinds of things you can do is go on a holiday or a trip or meditate or go to nature or there's even if you go on YouTube, there's a lot of these binaural beats that you can do for mental clarity. I love this one called study a 12. It wasn't the most fancy one, but it really helped me when I wrote the book November Fox because my partners are drummer and it was quite noisy and I found these binaural beats and they have subliminal messages about focus and study and.
27:06
Esther Bertram
That one really works, so if you're struggling mentally to focus and concentrate, go and check out binaural beats and study. Age 12 is a fantastic one. All that one worked for me. Ok, I'm in the heart space. If that area is. Needing some more love and care. Things you can do is anything that fills your heart with joy, whatever that is often friendships and spending time with family and friends and people you love or in your relationship. Maybe if you've been with someone for years, bring back date nights. That's another really nice thing to do to get the heart pumping and romantic again. Any kind of human connection. So one thing you could do is join our community at the inzel.com We have a beautiful empath community.
28:02
Esther Bertram
And we have matchups where you get to have one on ones with other empaths. And it's just a beautiful time to make new friends and feel connected and helps fill your hearts space and. Yeah, I would add that to a regular schedule if that's an area that you need more nurturing in. Looking at the body, if you're struggling in this department, some things you can do, you can go on a fast. There's this really. I can't remember his name, but there's a guy on YouTube. If you just look up intermittent fasting, he he basically dominates the fasting world on YouTube videos and he's very informative about the benefits of fasting.
28:43
Esther Bertram
And I did one last month for three days and I felt amazing on day, three day, one and two are quite tricky, and there's a great. App that helps you code zero. And yeah, there's a lot of regenerative stuff that happens on a cellular level on day three. And yeah, that's a really good way to kind of do a reboot and reset, and I loved it. If you're not yet vegan, I've been vegan now for what is it now? I stopped eating meat when I was 10.
29:17
Esther Bertram
So that's now 34 years ago and then, yeah, 23 years. I've been vegan. And I can't imagine any way being any other way, but I think that it can bring a lightness to the body if you're not yet vegan and you feel like your diet is. Heavy and not conducive to maximum energy. I would recommend trying vegan for a while because it's a lighter. But still very powerful. You can go and watch game changers on Netflix and have a look a bit at the science behind what happens in. The body and your muscles on plant based. Of things sleep is a big factor. Massive factor when it comes to your body not being nurtured, which I think most of us are aware of.
30:09
Esther Bertram
Water exercise. I'm going to the gym building muscles. I actually think empaths could do with becoming muscle builders more than others because there's almost like it helps us have that protection and strength and a boundary because we often suffer from having. Boundary and personal strength barriers. In certain situations and when you build up muscles. That really helps with that feel of strength I was doing for a long time. I've just stopped recently cause I'm building a house at the moment. There's not really much space where I am, but I do this one called Les Mills body combat and it's kind of martial arts.
30:53
Esther Bertram
But you don't. You don't bash into anything, it's in the air so you don't hurt your wrist or anything, and it's so good for letting out energy and. The other one I do is body pump, and that's where you're lifting weights and. I love it doing those two in combination cause you're getting fit and letting out energy, but also building muscle and yeah. Another thing you can do on the body level is the environment. So doing a room makeover. So just creating a space externally in your inner space that reminds you to treat your body as a temple.
31:34
Esther Bertram
So creating an external temple to mirror your internal temple, so that helps. Another thing you could do, I've just actually bought an aura ring and that's I love it. I got it for my birthday. My really good friend, Nerida and my mom gave me some money for my birthday and I bought this aura ring OURA and it helps track your sleep and your heartbeat and all kinds of things and it's kind of my dominant nameless submissive now so I do whatever the ring tells me, not always I I'm a bit naughty with my ring.
32:13
Esther Bertram
That it's so good to give, scientific feedback if I'm eating well. If I'm sleeping well, if I'm moving enough and yeah. Really like, I really like my aura ring. Ok, let's move on to soul. So if you're not feeling a bit out of whack with the universe, not really vibing along. Things you can do are go on a retreat because it strips away normal reality and helps you get back to. Yeah, the collective energy. And yeah, finding that quiet space and if you can't do that, I would recommend some good old fashioned escapism to get new perspectives and a really good way to do that is through art and culture and even documentaries and we have actually a section on the inzel.com for soul called the Tea House.
33:10
Esther Bertram
That's where I keep a lot of my creative outputs with music and books and the guitar course and all things that I've created that help nourish my soul that can potentially help nourish other people's soul if they want a new perspective, like the book I wrote, November Fox is a sci-fi fantasy through dimensions of consciousness and the audio book version. Which I've played at the end of some of these podcasts is a really good mind trip. For if you like the matrix and you like things that bend your head and mind. That's or Alice in Wonderland? It's a.
33:49
Esther Bertram
It's a book like that, so feel free to go and listen to the audio book version. It's for free if you never joined audible before, so just head over to November fox.com And yeah, that sometimes all you need is a is a new perspective to help ignite your own inner soul. Bollings and a big thing you can do is get creative and. I think actually I'm gonna make my next podcast on this topic of getting creative. It's something that comes naturally to me. That's what I've done my whole life as an outlet and A and a remedy for my empathic state of being to export output.
34:35
Esther Bertram
The excess feelings I get and also reflect on things that I feel too deeply almost to contain. Being creative is a perfect way to let the inner child explorer. Get it out of your being so you can kind of feel normal again. But it's a whole subject of its own, so I'm going to do the next podcast on getting in touch with your. In a creative being, and yeah, I'll give you some tips how to how to do that.
35:06
Esther Bertram
If you've lost touch with that part. Ok, topic I'm sorry department number five is purpose. So what are some things you can do if you don't feel like you're maximising your? Calling and achieving highest potential. You could change jobs, or if that's too risky financially, I recommend starting a side hustle and it could be as simple as anything you have skills and passions in. You might have made some jewellery at high school or you loved painting. You can. Even just started on the weekend and just do one or two hours and the compact compound effect, that's actually a good book on this subject called the Compound Effect.
35:53
Esther Bertram
It reminds you of even when you just start something small, like if you do it. I don't know two hours on a Saturday as a new little side hustle just for fun following your passion. You might do it 3 hours the next week in four hours. The next and the next month you might show some people and they go. Oh, that's really nice and somebody buys something and then you just chip away at it and it can really grow and you can do it in a safe way.
36:20
Esther Bertram
Building up something on the side. That then can take over your main your current employment. If it doesn't feel like you're really thriving and being your best version of yourself in what you're contributing to the world. So I would recommend that. And just we will tap on cause I did talk about the shadow side at the way to. Begin that process is back to the ace of the AC's Having awareness of them so.
36:51
Esther Bertram
Another thing shadows do. There are often unconscious things holding you back and we all carry them, and we're not even aware of them. A lot of the time because they're in our subconscious and they often dictate. The way we're living and what we're doing because I to me I see the subconscious like a neutral soil. But then things that happen in life and thoughts and actions and feelings get planted like seeds in there and without doing work it can become a jungle. Of all kinds of things, including thistles and.
37:30
Esther Bertram
This comes back to my garden metaphor, which seems to be come true in so many domains of life, but it's even more true in how the subconscious works and. We often we're not even aware of what's going on in there, and I think the only way to go in there is, you know, really doing a lot of self development work and often seeing a coach or a therapist. If you're really struggling in any of the first five departments I talked about and you're not able to.
38:02
Esther Bertram
Kind of break free. Often it's your own self in your own way, from something you've got. Limiting in your belief system and. Yeah, I think having awareness of that first. Even if you don't understand it or know how it works or what it is. But you, you're seeing the product of that limitation. Going to a coach or therapist is a great idea. We have a lot of empath coaches in the community, so you can even just come and hang out at the endzel.com in our community and.

Esther Bertram
Reach out to some of our community members. If you're struggling with anything. And they might be able to help you on the right path with that. So when going back to the reason, we'd even do this in the 1st place is because when we're holistically balanced and thriving in all those departments. We become very attractive holistically, like we become this shining light that shines brighter and. What ends up happening when you do that for yourself? Others get attracted to it and other bright light shiners get attracted to it and you end up with really shiny, mutually beneficial connections.
39:20
Esther Bertram
And then that bright light shines then even brighter into the world. And I like to think of it like the empath process to me is almost like how crystals form in the earth. It's a long process. And it's quite a yeah it's you have to go into the trenches to do it. But when you do the work and when you Polish up all the sides of yourself that you've got all five sides shining brightly. That's when the rainbows shine through your crystal self and just light up the world so. In the fall, in the Third Point of the Ace, ACE awareness Calibration, E is for engage because that's when you can realize the weaknesses you have or the areas you want to improve and start engaging in new habits so you can shine your best radiant self.
40:25
Esther Bertram
And another good tip for doing that is there's an app called streaks. I've bought it. It's not that expensive and you just can add. It's like a habit tracker that helps you stay on a streak of committing to it. If you struggle with habits and things like this, I recommend reading the compound effect and then downloading this app called streaks because in combination the compound effect will give you the intellectual reasoning behind. And just chipping away at things and what great things you can achieve overtime and it happens faster than you think.
41:00
Esther Bertram
And you can start with five minutes a day on something and it still will have a massive effect if you commit to it. And streaks is a great app that helps you stick with it so. If you want to solidify these new patterns, I recommend both of those things because yeah, it ends up even. I think they say learning a new habits 21 days, but that's actually I don't think that's true because it depends what it is you're learning and how much old learning you need to unlearn.
41:29
Esther Bertram
And it also depends on what that skill is. But regardless, when you do repeat something again and again, it goes into your body memory. It's like what happened with me with my. Protection mechanism my egg visualization. I had to do it university to feel protected from external energies when I repeated it every single day I had can't remember how long it might have been a few weeks or a few months or so long ago I can't remember now, but it became a state of being for me and was in my body memory. And I didn't have to do as much visualization anymore because of the habit. Solidified it and yeah, the mind is an extremely powerful thing with mental constructs and belief systems, so we can program it almost like a computer.
42:17
Esther Bertram
But it does take work. So and if you do the work, you become what I call a super empath because you're thriving in all departments of your holistic wellbeing and your relationships and your contribution to the world and. Actually, as a byproduct, one of the big things impacts struggle with is this feeling grounded and protected? And I think when you strengthen your body and mind, like I mentioned earlier. If you're running on five cylinders.
42:55
Esther Bertram
By default, you end up feeling grounded and protected, although visualizations can also help dramatically just by getting into this like shining a light so brightly negative things and tanggula nations they I think they dissolve in the light. And if you think about a 5 year old, their mind is sharp and they feel they get out of bed feeling really excited about the world and their bodies energized and their soul is creative. And when you're 5 actually your shadows haven't even been born yet, so you're at this optimum state of just living in wonder and awe.
43:36
Esther Bertram
And yeah, taking on the universe and its infinite possibilities and just skipping into it, and I think that's a wonderful. Aim to work towards. And yeah, cause they're usually they're old enough to have a few skill sets down, but young enough to have the maximum openness. And that's great state to be in and you will always end up. Then by attracting mutually beneficial TOS relationships and you'll end up just having all this extra energy and you just go. What are we gonna do with it and you want to just give it to you? Wanna give then to people? And this is the tricky thing.
44:15
Esther Bertram
Like as empaths, we're already giving, we are giving all the time, but we're not optimised giving and we often burn out, so it's about. It's almost like a full circle you end up back where you started where. You're just this giving being, but you're doing it from a place of. Having a true energy source, almost like you're tapping into you've formed a bore to the A well into the core energy, and it's just an never ending stream. And if we don't do that. If we don't nurture it we do just burnout.
44:50
Esther Bertram
And we often the number twos often take a lot of our energies and we. We're just exhausted and if we can be a 5 cylinder machine, why would we want to just work on one or two cylinders? Because we know that the parts will wear out and. It's just, it's just not optimized, because even if you were to get 70 % across the five different departments you're in a really good position to have sustainable energy for a long period and not feel overwhelmed or tired or foggy.
45:22
Esther Bertram
Or we want to achieve our highest potential. So my wish for anyone listening to this is when somebody asks you how you are an ideal place to get to is not when you just go. Oh yeah, I'm good. I'm fine. Oh I'm not bad. How's the word bad in it? So it's already on that end of the spectrum. A wonderful place to get to is to actually be able to confidently and authentically say I'm outstanding. I'm brilliant, I'm excellent or I'm amazing because you feel it cause you're just firing on all cylinders.
46:03
Esther Bertram
So I hope that. This podcast has given you some inspiration and maybe even a simple checkpoint. Like if you look at your hand, the five fingers and go mind heart body soul purpose, you have a quick reference point just to have that step outside of your life and just have that reflection and see where you can improve to get firing on all cylinders. Because in my mind, when people talk about well being, and I don't think it's just about being well.
46:41
Esther Bertram
I actually see it more like every aspect of your being your mind, your heart, your body, your soul, your purpose being well, it's well being. To me, rather than just well being well, it's just a more holistic well. A Wellness of your whole being and. I hope that, yeah, I hope that this has helped you. Even 1 % increase of towards a better well being is a good thing.
47:14
Esther Bertram
And if we do it 1 % every day, it's yeah. Over compound time you'll be. You'll be galloping along like a crazy happy Unicorn in no time. Alright, I think we've come to the end of today's podcast. I'm gonna do song time today. I like to finish podcasts podcast with story time from one of my books or song time from a song I've written. And today song I'm going to choose. I'm actually going to choose one. I'm going to dedicate it to fellow empaths. Who seemed to struggle with loving and nurturing the self. So if you're a 2-1-3 at the moment that you relate to that where you're giving more of yourself to others before your own well being, I'm dedicating this song to you and it's called surrender.
48:07

It's from my album the Tea House. If you're interested in learning more about my music, just go to Esther Bertram. Com AU. That's my music site. Or you can find it on the insulfoam, head over to the sole department in the teahouse. And this is a song I wrote with my very lovely friend Charlie and who's a guitarist and? It's a song about getting older and wiser, but still feeling younger. That's why I thought it's probably appropriate for today, so getting back to when you're still one wondering i'm trying to say wondering, but I almost said wondering, but it's both actually wondering and wondering and pondering as a 5 year old does, but as an adult and when you're able to gain perspective.
49:01
Esther Bertram
But surrender into love, and although this may have been originally written about a relationship with your number twos. It can also be seen as love, self, love and surrendering. Finally, if you're a 2-1-3 into being a 1-2-3 surrendering into. Loving yourself so you can in every department. And thrive so you can feel younger. So I urge you to surrender into self love because you deserve it for everything you carry for the world. So this song's for you. It's called surrender. It's all good. What can it be? Everything to me. With flying above and look below. That is where I longed to be.
50:18
Esther Bertram
And I feel younger now. Ohsa I'll ponder more indeed. And soon. Come on. With you. Wait, what can it be? Is everything to me? We ride the waves, the highs and lows. This is where long to be. Am I feel younger now. Oh, there's a. I'll ponder Moander most surrender. And the silence I can hear. Sounds of who I am. In the darkness I put some vision. Heringes, hillary and. No younger now maybe? 1.
53:22
